Description:

A wicked, curved dagger with a strange and powerful magical effect. It has a ribbed hilt made of bone and a blade of dyed silver.

Base Weapon Stats:
(Version 1) Small Dagger
Bleeding Dagger 1d4 damage 19 – 20 X2 crit Any target hit by this dagger bleeds for an extra 1 point of damage per round afterwards. This effect stacks. One hit twice bleeds for 2 damage each round and so on. This bleeding can be stopped with a successful DC 16 Heal check or at least 3 points of magical healing on a 3:1 basis.

(Version 2) Small Dagger
Bleeding Ghost Touch Dagger 1d4 damage 19 – 20 X2 crit Any target hit by this dagger, if it is incorpreal, ignores the miss chance. Any target hit by this dagger bleeds for an extra 1 point of damage per round afterwards. This effect stacks. One hit twice bleeds for 2 damage each round and so on. This bleeding can be stopped with a successful DC 16 Heal check or at least 3 points of magical healing on a 3:1 basis.

[Version 3] Small Dagger
Truebleeding + 1 Dagger 1d4 + 1 damage 19 – 20 X2 crit Any target hit by this dagger bleeds for an extra 1d6 points of damage per round afterwards. This effect stacks. One hit twice bleeds for 2d6 points of damage each round and so on. This bleeding can be stopped with a successful DC 16 Heal check or at least 10 points of magical healing.

[Version 4] Small Dagger
Truebleeding + 5 Dagger 1d4 + 5 Damage 19 – 20 X2 crit Any target hit by this dagger bleeds for an extra 1d10 points of damage per round afterwards. This effect stacks. One hit twice bleeds for 2d10 points of damage each round and so on. This bleeding can be stopped with a successful DC 18 Heal check or at least 12 points of magical healing.

[Version 5] Small Dagger
Superior Truebleeding Dagger 1d4 Damage 19 – 20 X2 crit Any target hit by this dagger bleeds for an extra 1d20 points of damage per round afterwards. This effect stacks. One hit twice bleeds for 2d20 points of damage each round and so on. This bleeding can be stopped with a successful DC 20 Heal check or at least 15 points of magical healing.

(Current) [Version 6] Small Dagger
Orcus’ Superior Unholy Goodbane Dagger 1d6 Damage 19 – 20 X2 crit Any creature hit by this dagger is dealt an extra 3d6 points of damage. Any good creature hit by this weapon is dealt 13d6 points of extra damage.

Bio:

This dagger has existed for thousands of years. It has been known to fuse with ceremonial daggers of evil deities and it gains magical effects accordingly. No one knows how this blade came into existance, only that it is Tainted ( 13 Taint + 1 for each item it’s absorbed). This Taint transfers whenever the owner picks up a new ceremonial dagger. This transfer increases the owner’s Taint by 2 points. The points gained in this manner can be taken away, but if any is lost by the owner, the previous version of the blade is restored and it must refuse with a new dagger.
